President Trump’s visit is indeed significant for our country. I would even say, considering the whole context, we cannot exclude that it becomes historic, President Andrzej Duda told PAP in an exclusive interview.

I am very content because President Trump’s upcoming visit to Poland, his second major foreign visit after entering office, is not an accident, President Andrzej Duda said.

Andrzej Duda added "the visit was the consequence of a whole range of political steps, that I have taken in the two years since becoming Poland’s president".

Polish President reiterated that Poland and the United States had many "specifics" in their relations. "These are not just talks about the international situation, but a lot of concrete topics (...) Therefore, while on the one hand I am very happy about President Trump's visit, on the other it does not surprise me at all. We simply have a strong position at this time", pointed out Andrzej  Duda.

Andrzej Duda pointed out "the speech President Trump wants to make, which has electrified many politicians and journalists around the world, and that very 'message' that the American president is from Warsaw delivering a speech not only for Poland, but for the whole world, is immensely significant, very important politically for our country".

The US president is invited by everybody, everybody wants president Trump to visit their country, as the US is the world’s greatest superpower, the biggest economy, the world’s biggest army, the guardian of world security, quite simply a superpower, that's why everybody cares about it so much", pointed out President Duda.

He underlined that American president's visit was "the outcome of the policy that has been carried out". "I am really glad we have specific topics to discuss with president Trump. This will by no means be a general chat about security issues, no, no. These are very concrete issues we will talk about", ephasised Polish head of state. (PAP)
