President Bronislaw Komorowski with other international leaders on Sunday took part in a march against terrorism in Tunis held in response to the March 18 attack on the Bardo Museum in which 23 people were killed, including three Poles.

"Today's march of solidarity with the victims and against terrorism is a signal that Poland takes part in all forms of activity aimed at removing the terrorist threat and also pays the price," the Polish president said during a briefing after the march.

"We have underlined that Poland fully understands the concern and commitment of European countries in the southern direction from where the terrorist threat comes," BronislawKomorowski continued.

"We also want the European world to notice what Poland notices on a daily basis, namely the threat to the world, to the European Union that comes from the east," the president also said.

International officials taking part in the march also included French President Francois Hollande, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and Palestine leader Mahmoud Abbas. They accompanied Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi on the last leg of the march. (PAP)
