On the occasion of the Independence Day of the United States of America, President Andrzej Duda extended, on behalf of himself and the Polish Nation, warmest congratulations and best wishes in a congratulatory message to US President Donald Trump on Wednesday.

In the message, the Polish President emphasized that Poland and the United States are joined by bonds of long-term friendship and brotherhood. The President also remarked that during the year of the 100th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence, the country has not forgotten that the United States not only recognized the rebirth of Polish statehood as a condition of a peaceful order in Europe after the end of World War I, but also, after the advent of the II Republic of Poland, America granted it much needed material support."'

The President noted that 2019 will mark the centenary of the establishment of Polish-American diplomatic relations. He added that their strength and multi-dimensionality is constantly enriching the two nations when it comes to close political, economic, scientific and cultural cooperation. He added that Poland appreciates America’s contribution to guaranteeing the security of Poland and other allies in the region.

In closing, President Duda conveyed best wishes for health, successes and prosperity to the President and all Americans. (PAP/KG)
