President Duda meets President Steinmeier and EC head in Vilnius
President Andrzej Duda on Friday in Vilnius spoke with EC head Jean-Claude Juncker and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, top presidential aide Krzysztof Szczerski informed in Vilnius.

Recounting the Duda-Steinmeier talks, Krzysztof Szczerski said the presidents, among other topics, discussed the ongoing formation of the German government, Poland's rule of law dispute with the EC, and Poland's war reparation claims from Germany.
Minister Szczerski said both presidents praised the fact that the reparation debate was taking place in parliament, and called this "the right framework" for debates on the matter. He added that Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Andrzej Duda were reluctant to join the debate as they believed it should not be influenced from the presidential level.
Attending the Vilnius celebration besides Andrzej Duda and Frank-Walter Steinmeier are top EU officials, including the European Commission and European Council heads.
Krzysztof Szczerski added that Andrzej Duda assured the EC head of his support for further dialogue between the Polish government and the Commission. (PAP)
