Condolences after plane crash in Tehran

President Andrzej Duda offered his condolences on Wednesday over the Ukrainian plane crash in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on Wednesday.


"It was with great sadness that I received a message about the over 160 victims of today's plane crash flying from Tehran to Kiev. I am deeply shocked by this news. I am united in pain and suffering with the families of all the victims. May God give them eternal rest," the president wrote in a letter of condolence on Wednesday.

 

The plane crashed in the Iranian city of Tehran on Wednesday killing 82 Iranians, 63 Canadians, 2 Ukrainians and the Ukrainian crew of nine died in the catastrophe. Among the victims, there were also ten Swedish citizens, four from Afghanistan, three Germans and three Britons on board.
