President to US students: Poland a country of worthy people
I would like you to see Poland as a great country, especially when it comes to people, President Andrzej Duda on Monday told US students participating in the so-called President's Scholarship programme.
The President's Scholarship project enables young Americans - also those of Polish descent - to take study tours of major Polish enterprises.
In his address, Andrzej Duda remarked that young Americans will be shaping their country's future, and wished the gathered students to remember Poland as a country whose people are worth striking up relations with.
"You are the young generation that in a few years will begin to shape the United States (...) I would like you to take away the best-possible memories of Poland, for you to see Poland as a great country, especially a country rich in people with whom it is worth maintaining contact," the President said.
Commenting on his approaching US visit, Duda said his main aim was to foster bilateral cooperation. He added that his planned talks with US President Donald Trump will focus on economic and military cooperation.
