Telegram from the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr Andrzej Duda
to the President of the French Republic, Mr Emmanuel Macron
following the tragic fire at the Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral
Dear Mr President,
In the wake of the tragic fire at Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, please, accept our expressions of spiritual communion with all the French citizens: all men and women who have been affected by this tragedy.
I assure you that Poland is ready to take part in the European act of solidarity in the reconstruction of the destroyed temple, which is a crown jewel of our identity and, since last year, has also been home to the Polish Chapel of Our Lady of Czestochowa and St. Germain.
In the effort to carry out reconstruction of many cultural monuments, including sacral buildings, destroyed in the Second World War, Poland has educated many high-class specialists in the renovation of historical buildings, whose experiences we are ready to share with France.
With the assurance of my high consideration
President of the Republic of Poland
Mr Emmanuel Macron
President of the French Republic
