Bogna Janke, as of July 14, 2021, the Secretary of State in the Chancellery of President Andrzej Duda, in charge of substantive supervision over the Bureau for Dialogue and Correspondence.
She was born on July 9, 1973, in Białystok, grew up in Olsztyn and graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Modern Languages at the University of Warsaw, majoring in German philology. She is a graduate of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Modern Languages of the University of Warsaw.
Since 1998 she worked as a journalist and reporter, among others in Polish Press Agency and TVN24. As an entrepreneur, she was publishing her own media - a local weekly "Gazeta Południa" available in the Piaseczno District and, from 2006 to 2021, a nationwide blog portal SALON24.
She was a volunteer with the Fundacja Świętego Mikołaja [The Saint Nicholas Foundation] in the "Mama w pracy " [“Mum at work”] project, and later the founder and president of the Foundation Warszawskie Szpitale Polowe [Warsaw Field Hospitals Foundation], whose aim was to create an exhibition commemorating field hospitals from the Warsaw Uprising. She created the website of the initiative: www.szpitale1944.pl. She is an honorary blood donor.
She is interested in media, politics and history, enjoys travelling with a backpack. She practices sports - trekking, skiing and received krav maga training. She climbed one of the Crown of the Earth peaks: Mount Kilimanjaro.
She is married and has two sons.
