Błażej Spychalski – Secretary of State
Błażej Spychalski was born on 16 February 1985 in Włocławek. In 2010 he completed his Master’s studies at the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań, graduating from the Faculty of Law and Administration, where he majored in Law.
Affiliated with the Law and Justice Party (PiS) since 2006. Mr Spychalski worked, among others, in the Legislation and Analyses Department of the PiS Parliamentary Caucus, as well as in its Presidium Department. From 2011, for four consecutive years he was assistant to MEP Konrad Szymanski, and subsequently, to MEP Janusz Wojciechowski. In 2014 he was appointed coordinator in the PiS Department for the Internal Party Structure. Later he worked as President of the Management Board of the Municipal Heating Company in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, and on 1 March was appointed President of the Management Board of Water and Sewerage Plant in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. For the last 4 years, he served as Councilor in the regional assembly of the Lodz Region, member of the Committee for Regional Development, Spacial Planning, Transportation and Communications.
Since 7 September 2018 Mr Spychalski has served as Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.
He is married and has four children.
