Happy Christmas from the President and the First Lady
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to take advantage of this opportunity to wish you all, via our website, a Happy Christmas.
May you, my compatriots, be happy in 2010. May there be many joyful moments and as few unhappy ones as possible. May you all remain in good health and may you be successful, both at work and in your personal lives. May we all be kind to one another – let us forget and forgive our past grudges and let us remember only the best of times. Finally, may Poland succeed in overcoming all the difficulties of our times with which the world now struggles and may the path of our development be a straight one, so that we are able to make rapid progress.
I have some more wishes, this time as Head of the Armed Forces – I would like to wish all the best to the soldiers of the Polish Army, especially those who are unable to return home for Christmas. Your dedication and your efforts do matter to Poland – they, to a significant extent, define our role in the world. We thank you for this and we wish you safety and happiness in the coming year. May you return home proud of having fulfilled your duty well. Also, best wishes to your families – your wives, mothers, children, and all those whom you hold dear. Thank you very much for everything that you are doing.
Lech Kaczyński, the President of the Republic of Poland
