President George W. Bush telephoned President Aleksander Kwaśniewski

On 14th December 2003 in the afternoon the President of the United States of America George W. Bush telephoned the President of the Republic of Poland Aleksander Kwaśniewski. President G. W. Bush informed President A. Kwaśniewski of the capture of Saddam Hussein. President Bush said, that 13th December was a great day for the Iraqi nation and international community. The capture of Saddam Hussein will lead to normalization of the situation in Iraq and acceleration of handover of the responsibility for Iraq to the Iraqi people. President G. W. Bush thanked Poland for taking part in the stability mission. He also stressed the professionalism of Polish soldiers, who serve in this difficult and full of sacrifices mission. Polish president congratulated the coalition forces on this great success.
