Opening of European Leadership Development Seminar 2000

On March 7th, 2000, President of the Republic of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski attended the ceremony of opening the European Leadership Development Seminar 2000. In his address to AIESEC activists, the President said: I am glad to welcome the representatives of the world`s largest student organisation, the International Association of Economics and Commerce Sciences Students already for the second time. For the first time I did that during the World Congress of the AIESEC, which was organised in Warsaw in 1996. I am convinced I am not the only one in this hall to remember that event from before four years ago. I`d like to express recognition for the organisation you represent. It has made a meaningful contribution to the rapprochement of peoples and nations, to the flow of information and know-how. Poland has been an AIESEC member for more than twenty-five years, taking an active part in its work. The AIESEC used to be a window to the world, a school of economic thinking for thousands of young Poles. I am one of the alumni of the organisation. I twice participated in AIESEC trainee-courses. So, I have much sentiment for this organisation. Warsaw, March 7th, 2000 President Aleksander Kwasniewski taking part in opening the "European Leadership Development Seminar 2000."
