Wojciech Kolarski – Secretary of State
Wojciech Kolarski was born on 29 October 1972 in Kraków. He is a graduate of philosophy at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Kraków. He studied philosophy and sociology at the Jagiellonian University. He took part in the UK government scholarship programme at the University of Sussex from which he earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary European Studies.
He was a scout and a volunteer in the Chaplaincy of Persons with Disabilities and Their Friends “Klika”. Actively engaged in a number of civic and community initiatives, Mr Kolarski was a leader of educational projects: plus / minus30, and the Club of Political Debate, as well as a co-founder of the association Nasze Bielany.
Mr Kolarski performed various functions in the local government administration: in the City Hall of Kraków and in the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Region. In the years 2011-2015, he was director of offices of Andrzej Duda during the latter’s term as a deputy to the Polish Parliament and as MEP.
In 2014 Mr Kolarski was elected Councillor of the City of Kraków.
On 7 August 2015, he was appointed Undersecretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland. On 2 May 2019 - Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.
