Silvio Berlusconi visited Lech Kaczyński
Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi, visited the Presidential Palace and met with Lech Kaczyński. The meeting started after 11 a.m. and the two politicians officially greeted each other in the presence of representatives of the media. After the talks, they delivered media announcements in which they summarised the discussion that took place between them.
“We have discussed issues connected with the European Union, the Lisbon Treaty and the Council of Europe,” said Lech Kaczyński during the press conference.
The President was pleased with the interesting exchange of opinions with regard to relations with Russia and the internal situation of this country. The politicians also discussed the economic crisis, means of counteracting it, the economic policy of the European Union and matters pertaining to the political systems of Poland and Italy.
“Italy would like to cooperate with Poland even more actively,” emphasised Silvio Berlusconi.
