Lech Kaczyński met with Hans-Gert Pöttering
Wednesday, at 14:00 in the Presidential Palace, saw the meeting of the President of Poland, Lech Kaczyński, and the President of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pöttering.
During their meeting, the politicians discussed matters such as the upcoming European Parliamentary elections and the Lisbon Treaty.
Lech Kaczyński reminded the President of the European Parliament of the decisions made by the European Commission that are unfavourable for Poland and that may lead to the disappearance of thousands of work places within the shipbuilding industry. The Polish President appealed that Poland be supported in its struggle to retain its shipyards.
