The Prime Minister of Turkey in Poland
The meeting between Lech Kaczyński and Recep Tayyıp Erdoğan is a token of importance which Poland attributes to relations between it and Turkey and of the fact that Poland is a key partner for Turkey in Central Europe.
During their talks, the two politicians mainly discussed the issue of Turkey’s prospective membership in the European Union. Lech Kaczyński confirmed that Poland supports the aspirations of Turkey.
The talks also concerned cooperation between Turkey and Poland with respect to energy safety, emphasizing the necessity of ensuring a safe and diversified supply of fuels for Europe.
Issues regarding regional security were also mentioned.
