President offers condolences to Egypt attack victims' families

President Andrzej Duda, in a condolence message sent to his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, extended words of sorrow and sympathy to the families of those who were killed in a mosque attack in Egypt's North Sinai on Friday.

President Duda stressed he was shocked by the news coming from Egypt.

"On my own behalf and on behalf of all my Compatriots, I would like to offer words of sorrow and deep sympathy in relation to the vile and treacherous terrorist attack carried out at the mosque in Bir al-Abed, in which so many innocent people, gathered therein for prayers, lost their lives", the Polish president wrote.

"Mr President, let me pass my most sincere condolences to the families and close ones of the tragedy's victims. I would like to wish quick recovery to all the injured. We share the sorrow of the Egyptian Nation", President Duda stressed. (PAP)
