Presidential Economic Awards handed out

President Andrzej Duda granted six companies the Presidential Economic Award. The companies received their awards during a gala at the 590 Congress in Jasionka near Rzeszow, south-east Poland.

 

See also: President Duda: SMEs generate most of Poland's national good The awards were granted in four main categories and two special ones. Similar to last year, President Duda also handed out an individual award.

 

Draminski S.A. was named the Leader of Small and Medium Enterprises. The Warsaw Mechanical Plant "PZL-WZM" won the National Success award, while Melex sp. z o.o. received the International Success title. The Mlekovita Dairy Cooperative won the Responsible Business award.

 

XTPL S.A. was named the best Polish startup, while the Research and Development award went to a team of researchers from the physics department at the University of Warsaw and the New Technology Centre.

 

President Andrzej Duda has also granted the Individual Award for Services to the Polish Economy to Maciej Wieczorek, CEO of Celon Pharma S.A.

 

The Economic Awards are granted yearly by the President of Poland. It celebrates companies that offer a significant contribution to the development of Polish economy, build a positive image of the Polish economy around the world, and provide an example to others. (PAP)
