We must neutralise hybrid threats together, on the national and alliance level, and also on the NATO-Ukraine platform, Deputy Foreign Minister Bartosz Cichocki said Thursday at the opening sitting of a NATO-Ukraine platform on countering hybrid threats.

The sitting, entitled Crisis Management And Strategic Management In Hybrid Warfare Environment, is co-hosted by the Polish Foreign Ministry, the National Security Bureau and the Ukrainian National Institute for Strategic Studies.

Attending the meeting were over 100 experts, including specialists from the NATO HQ, delegates from 21 NATO states, and a Ukrainian delegation.

Opening addresses were delivered by National Security Bureau head Pawel Soloch, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko and NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs James Appathurai.

The NATO-Ukraine platform on countering hybrid threats was created in mid-2017 upon decisions at the 2016 Warsaw NATO summit. It is part of a Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine passed at the summit. (PAP)
