President Andrzej Duda's planned visit to Mexico is part of the president's economic diplomacy, President's Cabinet Head Krzyszof Szczerski told a press conference on Thursday.

The Polish presidential couple is paying an official visit to Mexico on Saturday. The delegation will include Polish entrepreneurs, with a Polish-Mexican business forum planned during the visit.

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) is also going open its Mexico City office during the visit.

"It is going to be the first in a series of presidential visits aimed to promote Polish entrepreneurship, Polish companies abroad", Krzysztof Szczerski said.

It is going to be the first official trip to Mexico by a Polish head of state in the history of the bilateral relations. Poland and Mexico will sign more than ten economic agreements related to economic cooperation, investment support and investment loans.

The aim of the visit is to look for new investment partners for Poland, according to Minister Szczerski, who also stressed President Duda had undertaken to promote relations with countries which so far had been outside of Poland's economic interest.

During the visit, Andrzej Duda will meet with the Mexican president and will address the two houses of the Mexican parliament. "It is important to present Poland as a country that is active on the international stage", Krzysztof Szczerski added.

The emir of Qatar and the president of Singapore are to visit Poland soon, the presidential aide also announced.
