Refugees as well as military and energy security were the main subjects of a Tuesday meeting of Polish President Andrzej Duda with British PM David Cameron in London.

"I think this was a very good meeting. We have vast possibilities of cooperation," President Duda said.

The Polish president said that his meeting with PM Cameron focused on important European matters and refugees. We agreed that "trying to deal with the consequences of what is going on, one should above all look at the causes", Duda stressed.

"We agreed that it is necessary to combat the causes which make these people escape to Europe," the Polish president added.

According to President Duda, the British PM spoke also about the situation in refugee camps in Lebanon and how Great Britain was planning to admit migrants.

Other topics included energy and military security. "The British PM agreed that it is necessary to develop NATO's infrastructure, also in Central Europe, in order to strengthen the alliance's eastern flank," the Polish president added.
"I describe this meeting as very good, held in a very good atmosphere. We have vast possibilities of cooperation," he stressed.

President Duda added that PM Cameron told him he was impressed by hard-working Poles in Great Britain. (PAP)
