Foreign Affairs Office
The Office prepares analyses of issues connected with foreign affairs. Its task within the Chancellery of the President is to coordinate organisational and technical activities and to prepare plans of foreign visits of the President of Poland, the Secretaries and the Undersecretaries of State. The Office organises visits of foreign guests to Poland and bilateral counselling committees in which the President participates, as well as bilateral and multilateral meetings.
The Office also prepares diplomatic messages, manages the credentials of ambassadors of foreign countries and farewell visits of ambassadors, both Polish and those of other states. It cooperates with the Staff and Distinctions Office of the Chancellery of the President in examining applications for awarding orders and distinctions, as well as applications for approving the award of orders and distinctions of other countries. The Office also manages contacts with Poles abroad, cooperation with bodies of state administration and local governments, non-governmental organisations and representatives of other countries accredited in Poland.
