Wojciech Kolarski – Undersecretary of State
Wojciech Kolarski was born on 29 October 1972 in Krakow. He is a graduate of philosophy of the Pontifical University of John Paul II. He studied philosophy and sociology at the Jagiellonian University. He took part in the UK government scholarship programme at the University of Sussex from which he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary European Studies.
He was a scout and a voluntary worker in the Pastoral Service to Persons with Disabilities “Klika”. Actively engaged in a number of civic and community initiatives, Mr Kolarski was leader of educational projects: plus / minus30, and the Club of Political Debate, as well as co-founder of the association Nasze Bielany, serving moreover as Chairman of the Krakow Chapter of President Lech Kaczyński Association in Kraków.
He worked in local government administration in the city hall of Krakow, and in the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolskie Region. In the years 2011-2015, he was director of offices of Andrzej Duda during the latter’s term as a deputy to the Polish Parliament and MEP.
In 2014 Mr Kolarski was elected councillor of the city of Krakow.
On 7 August 2015, he was appointed Undersecretary of State in the Chancellery of the President.
