Jaromir Sokołowski - Undersecretary of State
Jaromir Sokołowski was born on 25 February 1971 in Łódź.
He studied German Philology and International Relations in Warsaw and Hamburg. Between 1998 and 2003, he was the Secretary of the Polish Embassy in Berlin.
From 2003 to 2007, he commented on international politics on the Polish Radio (I. Programme of the Polish Radio, PR editorial team for abroad, TVP (7 dni świat), TVP3 and TVN24. He also wrote for “Rzeczpospolita” and “Die Welt”.
In 2005, he was appointed the advisor of the Polish Sejm Marshal, Bronisław Komorowski. In 2007–2010, he worked as the General Director of the Sejm Marshal's Office.
By the decision of 12 July 2010, the Sejm Marshal Grzegorz Schetyna, acting as the President of the Republic of Poland, appointed Mr Jaromir Sokołowski the Undersecretary of State at the Polish President’s Office, making him responsible for managing foreign affairs.
