Anna Surówka-Pasek – Undersecretary of State
Anna Surówka-Pasek was born in 1978 in Jaworzno. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Jagiellonian University, having also completed studies in public health at the Collegium Maius of the Jagiellonian University. In 2006, Ms Surówka-Pasek obtained a doctoral degree in law specializing in constitutional law. She received scholarships from the Government of the French Republic at the University of Orleans and from the Jerzy Stefan Langrod Fund.
From 2007 to 2009, she worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Krakow Jan Frycz Modrzewski Academy, whereas in the years 2007-2008 she taught as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University. Since 2009, Ms Surówka-Pasek has been lecturing at the Faculty of Economics and International Relations at the University of Economics in Krakow.
Since 2007, she has been a member of the Polish Society of Constitutional Law.
In her scholarly work, Ms Surówka-Pasek focuses on issues of public law, particularly constitutional law, the right to health protection, medical law, and administrative procedure. She also takes interest in economics, management, and social policy.
Ms Surówka-Pasek is an author of several publications in the field of public law.
On 7 August 2015, she was nominated by President Andrzej Duda to the position of Undersecretary of State in the Chancellery of the President.
