Lech Kaczyński has invited Barack Obama to Poland
During the press conference held in Prague, Lech Kaczyński, describing the discussion between European leaders, said that it was unusual in its character. “Many persons expressed their opinions but this was done briefly,” said the President. He added that the common announcement concerned the missile launch by North Korea.
The President admitted that the meeting with Barack Obama, where Poland was represented by the President and the Prime Minister, turned out to be very successful. He claimed that the most important matters were discussed, including the plans for locating the National Missile Defence system and Patriot missiles in Poland, issues connected with the climate and issues of bilateral cooperation.
The President also said that he has invited the American President to visit Poland and that the exact date of his visit will soon be determined. “We have to take into account the fact that, currently, the crisis demands great attention from the American administration and President,” Lech Kaczyński added.
